Andrew A. Magwood
Andrew began his career after law school doing insurance coverage litigation and insurance coverage counsel at a major regional law firm in California, in house at the general counsel’s office of an international insurance company, and then at a well respected litigation law firm handling business and injury lawsuits.
He handles state and federal appeals and has argued and won cases and written briefs for the Connecticut Supreme Court, Appellate Court, the California Supreme Court, and Courts of Appeal and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to becoming a lawyer he spent seven years on active duty in the United States Coast Guard, serving in Long Beach, CA, New London, CT and Detroit, MI. He has worked on successful political campaigns for politicians in both state and federal offices, and served the Assistant Majority Leader to the Connecticut General Assembly.
He is an avid bow-hunter and fly-fisherman. He has been married to his wife for 27 years, and they have two children and three grandchildren.
